More subways are not needed

Before more subways are built, we should make all buses and trams fare-free and eliminate cars from cities. Adding subways to the existing auto-system merely sends people underground to make way for more autos.

When buses are free, and cars no longer exist in cities, it will then be obvious where to put rail, including light rail. Superimposing rail on the auto-system is divisive and does not address the main problem: cars.

The autosprawl system is unsustainable. When assessing a plan, ask yourself this question: are we trying to extend the life of an unsustainable system? Or does our plan lead to the elimination of the private auto.

Keep this in mind: the methane clock is ticking.
